i had installed both windows and Ubuntu on my PC but now i wanted to remove Ubuntu and use that space for windows. So i deleted the Ubuntu partitions and after restarting the PC it says " grub rescue > " . Is there any way to recover windows after deleting Ubuntu.

Thanks..

Try a web-search of: recover mbr (unless it is Uefi) remove linux
This: https://neosmart.net/wiki/fix-mbr/
Or: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1961...still-be-there

Should have used VirtualBox!!! :D

Can you give us more info about your computer specs?

IF you don't have any information you need to access, and if it's Windows 10, you can actually just create USB media on another machine and reinstall. Once activated, you don't have to have an OEM install of 10, a straight Windows Media Creator USB will reinstall Windows 10 and it will automatically reactivate upon going online. Probably the only advantage Win10 has over Win7.

Hi,

Just try rewriting your mbr for windows. I think on the cd for windows you can do that. Im unsure on how though
