PulseAudio Problem Using Audacity

I have Audacity installed and am trying to record music from a web site FM station which I have done many times preciously. But now after installing ubuntu 12.10 something has changed in the pulseaudio tabbed options. Previously there were I believe 5 tabs settings across the top of pulse audio:
-playback
-recording
-output devices
-input devices
-configuration

But now I am thinking there must be a new version of puleaudio, or a bug. After installing 12.10 that one has just 4 tabs, and the results are I can not get audacity to record.

Under the imput tab there is a large square that says above it: "record sound from" and this is blank. I included an attackment what this looks like. This just could be the key to why audacity is not working. Does anyone know What should be in that square ?

Any help will be appreciated,
cheers,
obnascar

re: PulseAudio Problem Using Audacity

I did have the attachment included, but it seams like I am not able to upload it for some reason.

edit: maybe a moderator or administrator could help me with this. I first tryed to attach two different attachments. I am thinking one can not attach two in the same post. Because I tryed maybe 4 or 5 times, could this have locked me out ???

Here is the attachment I referred to earlier, which shows a box on the left ("record sound from"), in the Ubuntu 12.10 version of pulseaudio with nothing in it. This is what I have been questioning, mine is blank. Maybe this will help someone to see what I am talking about.

If this is unclear to anyone, please ask me for any info you might need.

To get this attachment to show up on these forums I had to change it from being a ".jpg" file to a ".png" file.

thanks..
