Hello everybody,
I declare in advance not to possess specific knowledge around the "audio" features of my Ubuntu 8.10 new PC, but from a month ago, a lot of times I was unable to play audio files due to unknown System Problems: yesterday, testing some diagnostic software like "gnome-system-log", I found these logs on my "users logs" section:
Code:
Nov 20 00:32:32 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Nov 20 00:43:29 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Nov 20 00:54:17 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Nov 20 01:05:11 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Nov 20 01:16:07 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Nov 20 01:29:16 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Nov 20 01:40:08 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Nov 20 01:50:52 hal-9000 pulseaudio[6424]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.
Could you suggest me some solution? How should I solve this audio configuration problem? I specify that thaat this error is encuntered because of a configuration conflict or something like that because I didn't activate any pulseaudio resource directly.
My config is:
