Problem with Fn Keys on a Toshiba Satellite

I've installed the fnfxd and fnfx-client on my Toshiba Satellite A60.
The installation seems to end well, without errors. But when I run the fnfxd module, it gives me this message :

fatal error: Could open /proc/acpi/toshiba/keys.

Please make sure that your kernel has enabled the Toshiba option in the ACPI section.
For more information read the documentation and/or http://fnfx.sf.net/index.php?section=doc#kernel.

I've checked on Synaptic, nad the ACPI seems to be installed on my laptop.

Can anyone help me?

Is the A60 a supported model. I vaguely remember enabling some Toshiba laptop specific options when I first compiled a kernel on my daughters A60. When I booted the kernel it gave some errors to the effect that it wasn't a supported Toshiba laptop. Looking at the help for the kernel option in make menuconfig it says
Quote:
This driver adds support for access to certain system settings on "legacy free" Toshiba laptops. These laptops can be recognized by their lack of a BIOS setup menu and APM support.
This does not sound like the A60. More details here http://memebeam.org/toys/ToshibaAcpiDriver

I've checked that page, and modprobe toshiba_acpi and it gave me this message :

FATAL: Error inserting toshiba_acpi (/lib/modules/2.6.10-5-386/kernel/drivers/acpi/toshiba_acpi.ko): No such device

It seems that my BIOS doesn't support ACPI. But I don't know how to check that. I got on the BIOS and saw only this message : System Bios.

What can I do now?
