Problem running Ubuntu 11.10 off live CD
I'm currently running Ubuntu 10.10 and I'm curious about 11.10. I don't want to just jump in an update the entire distro, I did that once before with 11.04 and didn't really like it, I wound up getting it back down to 10.10. But want to have 11.10 on a live disc to see if my tastes have changed. Anyway the problem is I downloaded the 32 bit version of 11.10 from the Ubuntu site, follow the directions for creating a live CD (i.e. right-clicking the iso, clicking write to disc, changing the burn speed to the lowest speed, and burning.) Just before the CD seems to finish burning it tells me I need to eject the CD manually and tells me some files may be corrupted. Then when I reboot the computer with the disc to TRY and see if it'll work, it just boots up in 10.10 and won't even attempt to run 11.10. I even went into the setup of the computer and made sure that the computer boots the CD drive before anything else. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Does the website somehow have a less than qualified version of itself?
