problem installing Ubuntu 7.04


Hi guys.I got some strange problem when installing Ubuntu.It all went Ok in the start .
But when the loading stated ,afther 2-3 seconds it stopped .

Here is a screenshot

I waited for more then 10 mins but the CD is not moving and that picture stays on my LAPTOP.

Plz any help!

Is that after installing or booting the CD? If your booting it before the install, you might have to give it diffirent boot options in the menu that come up at the beginning. If it's after the install, it's more than likely that there is some hardware conflict.

Yep, try altering the boot options. No acpi is a good first attempt.

Posting your hardware specs would be helpful.

The possible problem might be boot loader problem or even bad CD. when you insert live CD run CD check and Memory Check. i had a same problem and found out that RAM itself was damaged so it never let me through.
