Problem installing new window managers

Hi,

I have been trying to install fluxbox and xfce but niether one seems to work (Breezy) I updated my sources list and ran apt-get update/upgrade but when I run apt-get install it says it can't find the package.

Also the first thing I thought was that my sources list was bad but when I pulled up gedit sources.list it was an empty document, so I went to the automatic generator site and got one there but still got errors about a repository that could not be found.

Anyone know what's the deal? Or what I need to do?

Thanks!!

Tried what I found at easy ubuntu and still no go.

I get the xfce wallpaper and it *seems* xfce is installed but I right click, left click...nothing, no panel, no menus, nada.

I can't figure out what the heck is the deal. I press ctrl-F1 and get a help file in konquerer and the window has xfce style but other than that nothing.

I'd really like to use xfce but I have installed and uninstalled 3 times with the same result. is there some bug or something with Breezy? It would install fine when I was using Hoary.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated!!
