Problem changing default app for mp3's

I know how to do it because I did it for mpegs and avi's fine but when I right click an mp3 and go to properties the file browser crashes and it opens back up at the home folder. It's really screwy and I don't know what to do.

help us out here, what desktop environment/window manager are you using (I'm guessing gnome?) when it crashes, does it give an error? if it is gnome youre using, try runing nautilus (the file browser) from a terminal so you can see any errors it gives when it does this. Sorry I can't help more, but I just use kde/fluxbox

It gave me an error on the theme I'm using, I'm going to change it and see if it works.

Yea that didn't work it crashes with no error now. Im using gnome btw.
