Port 22?

Hi all,

How do I open port 22? I'm trying to SSH to my Ubuntu client from a Windows client with winscp; the Ubuntu client refuses the connection. Also, I can't ssh to it either.

Thanks again.

Lightbulb

have you installed the sshd package?

if not, go to the ubuntu computer, open a terminal, become root and type:
Code:
apt-get install sshd
once this package has been installed, you should be able to ssh into your ubuntu computer without any trouble unless you have blocked the port (its open by default)
