Playing Video = 100% CPU usage

The video freezes for a few seconds when playing, but the sound keeps going and the processor is running at a 100% (High-end Pentium4). Until now I didn't have that problem, everything worked smoothly. I recently installed libdvdread3, might have to do something with that. I've had this problem with Feisty, and now with Intrepid as well... Help?

Probably the developers may have a solution, try hunting their support forum.
