Picasa2 and Ubuntu AMD64 platform
Hi all,
Can I install Picasa2 for Linux at the Ubuntu AMD 64 platform? I downloaded the *.deb file and I tried
Code:
dpkg -i --force-architecture <location and file name>
but I couldn't start the program. Has somebody Picasa running? What is to do?

Hey, that's like "it doesn't work"... You need to make reproducable what you did.

Yup

To my knowledge, that shouldn't be of any point.

The schema for any error report is: Action taken (being reproducable if ever possible) -- Expected results versus actual results ((error) messages literally cited if ever possible)

Also, assumptions that might prove irrelevant may block the problem solving process. As environmental information, they're fine, though. - So: No.

You probably mean, you didn't find the .EXE in your Start menu.
Here's a partial answer, and here's another one.
Just in case you won't keep trying.

Oh, yes, I found "Picasa2" in the start menu, but it didn't start.

Hopefully, there'll be some output by entering "picasa" in a terminal...
