patching problem

I am trying to patch openmosix on an ubuntu desktop and am having problems. I tried this command:
cd /usr/src
apt-get install kernel-source-2.4.19 kernel-package \
        openmosix kernel-patch-openmosix
but it says it can't find the package. also, just trying apt-get install kernel says it can't find the package. i know that i am hooked up to the internet. Since i have a gui, i manually downloaded the patch in firefox and tried to use the patch command, but it still didn't work. what am i doing wrong?

The package you downloaded should have a Readme file with specific instructions on how to use the 'configure' and 'make' instructions. Source packages must be configured and compiled before they can be installed.

FWIW- the project is now closed. If you need to re-download the openmosix package, you'll need to go to SourceForge and download it manually.
