Do the fonts also get messed up if you just view the files directly with Ghostscript?

Wow! No, with gs -dSAFER -dBATCH the pdf appears fine. Now I am even more confused!
Even without -dSAFER -dBATCH, gs shows it fine!

Actually, /usr/bin/pdf2ps is just a shell script that calls Ghostscript with some options.

So, what to do? How to improve the print preview in okular and how to make the printing working?
And, why gs works fine but pdf2ps does not?
