Question nVidia Drivers


Noob question!

K so I want to install the nVidia drivers, vit I need to exit x windows!

Under SuSe, I just used so say: "init 2", that doesn't work now!

SO can someone tell me how to install them?

Hi,
Try "init 3", thats default level for text mode login. Should work on all distros.

If using feisty, it should have an option in the Administration section of gnome menubar saying something about restricted drivers and that should automatically install the driver for you.
Sorry it's a bit vague but I don't use ubuntu often so I forget exactly.

Otherwise try <Ctrl> <Alt> F1 which should take you to a command prompt.
