noswap option on Ubuntu livecd?

Anyone know if the Ubuntu 7.04 livecd has a boot option similar to the "noswap" in knoppix? i.e. don't scan the hard drive for a swap partition and don't use one even if it exists?

Thanks!

Im not familiar with ubuntu, but wouldn't
Code:
swapoff /dev/hda#
Work for your purposes? This should disable the scanning of hda# for a swap partition I believe.

Hope this helps,

If I remember correctly, the live cd does not use the hd at all. That is why it can be very slow if you don't have enough mem. When you install it, it reads the hd but you have select /swap to recreate it. I don't know if it will then use it automatically or not.

Hope this helps.
