No internet, XUbuntu

Does anyone know why I can't get internet connection? The motherboard I have has an onboard network port, but I also have 1 WAN and 1 LAN PCI cards. I tried both the onboard, and PCI LAN, and neither of them seem to be getting any connection. Can someone help? I couldn't find any network setup or anything.

install xubuntu-system-tools from synpatic. then go to applications>systems>network
If you wish install "network-manager" for GNOME (after you install, run this "nm-applet"

Xubuntu is still under development and many GNOME apps have not made their way into it yet. One of these is the network settings.
