No Internet service, but picking up a wireless signal

Hello!

My wife and I are in the process of moving. I unfortunately had our broadband service disconnected a little prematurely.

In any event, I powered up my pc in my shop (which uses a linksys wusb11 V.2.6 antenna) in order to play a game.

After doing that, just for kicks, I then went into my network settings, System>Administration>Networking and removed my default network configuration, (which was my name Plus a WEP key).

Then I entered 'Network name'= Linksys and nothing else.

I can now access the internet, although things have slowed down significantly.

I'm assuming that I have connected to a neighbors network. So, My question is; is there any way to speed up this connection? Make it stronger?

Thanks!

Get closer to it.
Get them to move it closer to you.
Get them to put a directional antenna on it and point it at your house.

Maybe you could purchase a more powerful receiver/transmitter, don't know.

Not to start a flamewar or anything, but your signature seems somewhat religious and your actions seem somewhat like stealing.

You're Absolutely RIGHT! I did not mean to seem like I was stealing.

A Flame is definately what I deserve! Sorry!
