Network-manager on Edgy

Hey everyone,

I recently did a re-install of edgy, so I'm in the middle of configuring it to my liking. The problem I'm running into though is with network-manager. I used apt-get to install it, but it's still not showing my wireless card. I had this issue when edgy first came out, and I only needed to comment out some code (i believe it had to do with the default networking stuff trying to manage the wireless). If anyone can point me in the right direction, that'd be nice.

Thanks,
Vital_101

I had trouble with Gnome Network Manager myself. To replace with wifi-radar from the Ubuntu repositories I also needed to remove the gnome network manager and to remove a startup application as follows. System-> Preferences-> Sessions-> "Startup Programs" tab and delete or disable something with a name like nm-gnome. If you haven't used it before, I highly recommend the network monitor applet which will display wifi signal strength in an icon. You may need to activate the wifi with System-> Administration-> Networking.
