Network connection problem wifi

Hi there,

I am testing the 12.10 beta on a Thinkpad x220i, and I am running Gnome Shell instead of the default desktop, I feel it is more usable.

I've both wifi and 3G USB dongle in use, which I tested both worked on previous version 12.04, also worked on this version, but I've problem when changing connection between the 2.

When I first turn on the computer, it get connected to wifi very fast no problem, when I plug in the USB dongle to use 3G, the dongle may not activate some time, I've to manually turn off wifi to do it, I think this is may not be a fault, but when I remove the dongle to use wifi, wifi won't connect again, I've to restart the computer to enable wifi again. Also, the wifi will suddently disconnect after first half hour of use for no reason, I've to manually turn off and on wifi to enable it again, and then the wifi will stay connected overnight without problem. The network connection icon is not correctly displayed when switching between connections, the icon shown no connection but it is actually connected to wifi.

The other problem is, when I am using 3G, there are random pop up asking for password to connect to nearby hotspot, and it asked twice each time for the same hotspot, this shouldn't happen as I already connected to 3G, why bother searching for wifi ?
