Netlogond daemon at 100% CPU usage

1 Attachment(s)
hi,

what could cause the daemon to use 100% of the cpu?
I attached a printed screen file of "top".

p.s

I am using "likwise" to connect to AD.

Does the CPU load for netlogond not decrease when you start other apps?
By itself - the CPU is always doing something (even if just "no operation" instruction, so
100% CPU load is not necessarily harmful. Do you experience any loss in response time of the system?

Hi,

The CPU load for netlogond does not decrease when I start other apps.
I dont feel loss in response time, but I use dual core so the second core is free for use..
I wonder, if I would have single core CPU, the system will be stuck?
anyway, I dont think I have a say in the matter. The netlogond is part of the "likewise" product that needs to be in the background for some reason...the only question is why does it need 100% CPU USAGE.

Danny.

If it's your system, you always have a choice...
Try looking at the config and logs of likewise/netlogond.
If it's a big AD domain, joining it can take some time / CPU load.
