I am trying to setup my classroom lab to be able to netboot and install from the classroom server. So far I have the netboot working, but the machines I have tested are going out to the net to get software. I have a copy of the 5.10 Breezy DVD and would like to copy the correct fiels to the server and have the installs pull from there, instead of from the net (the IT department goes crazy when we load down the school connection trying to do 24 installs at the same time). I have done this using Fedora Core 3 and 4 and it worked fine, I just don't like to teach FC because of the non-standard file system locations. I am trying to figure out how to change the repository search for the netboot image so that it will search the server first. Any ideas. I have tried the Ubunut Wiki with no luck on this point, it is what I used to setup the netboot in the first place (great reference BTW).

Changing the world to Linux one pissed off Windows user at a time
I had to copy the DVD as an ISO an then mount the ISO so that it is network accessible. Then I had to go under the sources.list on the server that is doing the tftp serving and setup so that it will access the DVD first. I am not at the server at the moment, but I will post the total information when I get back to work after the holidays, it was not as hard as it sounds. We tested several boxes in the lab and it works great.
