Need help with Kodak Digital Camera

I'm running Edgy (6.10). When I connect my Kodak CX7430 digital camera up to the PC's USB port Ubuntu recognizes my camera model and asks if I would like to import my photos. When trying to do so I get the following error:

"An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not claim the USB device'): Could not claim interface 0 (Operation not permitted). Make sure no other program or kernel module (such as sdc2xx, stv680, spca50x) is using the device and you have read/write access to the device."

I get the same message when going into gtkam and trying as well. I just switched over from Debian Testing and my Camera worked fine there using gtkam.

Found the solution to my problem. Apparently there are bugs in the most current versions of libphoto2-2 and libphoto2-port0. I downgraded the packages in Synaptic to versions 2.2.1-2ubuntu3~edgy from versions 2.3.0-0ubuntu3~edgy and that fixed the problem.

Downgrading the libphoto2-2 and libphoto2-port0 packages worked for me too. after downgrading i powered my Kodak CX7330 off/on and KDE opened the camera in konqueror.

To downgrading packages in Synaptic first high-light the package then select Package > Force Version.
