Need help for accesing DVD-ROM
When I try to access my files in the DVD-ROM from the terminal I have no problem. I can read, copy etc. files without having any problem. But when I try to access the DVD-ROM files from the GUI I get the following error.
mount: block device /dev/hdb is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: /dev/hdb already mounted or /media/cdrom0 busy
mount: according to mtab, /dev/hdb is already mounted on /media/cdrom0
What do u think? How can I solve this. Thank you.

Post contents of /etc/fstab and /etc/mtab.
Post the command you use to mount the drive from the command line.

I'm not mounting anything from the command line. It is already mounted when I use the command line. I know its a very interesting situation.

Ok it is mounted at boot.
Still post contents of /etc/fstab to see where it is exactly mounting.
From the gui are you using an icon of the drive or using the directory name from a browser like konquorer or nautilas? If icon it may be incorrectly created.
Which gui are you working with?
