]$ tar -zxf install-webserver_0.1.tar.gz -O install-webserver.sh|nl
line 16: are you *sure* you want to give write rights to *world*?
line 1{7,8}: what if other tools where installed with other ownership? Wouldn't it be more careful to list the packages you install, grep for /var/www files and chown those? You're connected to teh intarweb and are installing php, phpmyadmin and mysql, but no precautions are taken to deny people access to running services. How about checking tcp_wrappers for deny rules, the firewall for accessable ports and issueing a warning? Just thinking out loud...

I hope you people love this stuff because I think I will create more bash files.
Is that a threat? :-]

Please don't quote whole posts but only the parts you reply to. More efficient.

Code:
 ]$ tar -zxf install-webserver_0.1.tar.gz -O install-webserver.sh|nl
means I've read it and use linenumbers for reference.

Code:
Are you sure you do the right things?
No, I'm not sure I do the right things, ROTFL!
After all I'm a total noob when it comes to GNU/Linux :-]
