Multiple installation attempts in a laptop failed miserably

I know that reposting the same thread in another section of the same forum, is propably the worst thing to do in a forum, but since my first post many thing changed and i think this is the place where it should be

It is thread 340907 (i cant post the complete url,#@$#@%! spam regulations)

I have made actually 3 or more attempts and it always stops in one of the above points...

I have already downloaded the iso file from a different mirror and burned it in 4x

I've checked the md5 checksums of the iso file i've downloaded and it is OK

any suggestions?
