mp3 support in rythmbox

I would really like to know how to make rythmbox play mp3's. Yes I have heard of / used XMMS, didn't like it. You have all my pre-emptive thankyou's.

btw, what is dapper?

Try if installing all gstreamer* packages helps. You can do a search in Synaptic for "gstreamer".
If this doesn't suffice, you can download the w32codecs, and install them by issuing
sudo dpkg -i --force-architecture w32codecs_20060611-0.0_i386.deb

You should really provide some basic information about your current system when posting, else replies cannot be well-targeted. - Ubuntu Dapper is the Ubuntu current version, 6.06.
