Mouse proble updating to ubuntu 9.04

I just install ubuntu 9.04 in a Dell Desktop Dimension 4550, because updating from 8.10 does not work. But, actually, the issue is that when I try to move my mouse to the right of the screen, this goes slowly and sometimes go freeze.
The option Cube in Compiz, does not work well either. Don't rotate to the right, and I can't use the option ctrl+alt+<right click> to visualise the whole cube. Perhaps this two issues are the same.
I have a Nvida card.
This Ubuntu version is very slowly if is compare with 8.1.
May somebody help me with this, or how to return to 8.1 without reinstall again?.
Thanks a lot.

What nvidia card do you have?
Did you install the proper driver for it?

Thanks a lot for you faster answer.
My Nvidia card is GE6200 (NV44A)
Initially I had installed the 180 Driver, when I get the problem I tried with 177, and the problem keep the same.

By the way, in Ubuntu 8.1 I was working with the same card and I have not any problem, everything was working good in this Ubundu version.

Oops...sorry for my English...I mean, in Ubuntu 8.10 the Nvidia Card was working fine.
Another thing, last night I tried with KDE and the problem is the same.
Thank you.

I also have a nvidia gforce 6200. I use the 180 driver in 32 bit Ubuntu 9.04 and it runs very well. I have never had a problem with this video card and the linux nvidia drivers in any distro I have tried. I do not use compiz though.
If you disable compiz and reboot do the problems go away?
Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit Ubuntu?

Post your xorg.conf and I will compare it to mine.

Are you using 2 monitors? It looks that way from your xorg.conf. I don't think your problem is related to using 2 monitors though. Your xorg.conf looks ok as far as I can tell. I have no experience with using 2 monitors and TwinView though.

Yes, you're right. I use two monitors and some times I use the Svideo output too (I'm work editing videos using Kdenlive and Cinelerra). I never had a problem with this in U 8.10.

At this moment, I'm not in my computer, but tonight I'll going to try without this options, to see if work fine.
Thanks again.

Ok. This happened:
1. Disable my second monitor, reset the system, and everything start working good, even compiz is working perfectly.
2. When I try to enable the second monitor, the problem come back.

Though, may be is a bug in the New nVidia driver (180).

Thanks a lot for your time, and your help.
