Monitor on Top Display?

I have a monitor sitting on my desk and a netbook connected above it on a shelf. I cant change the display to allow the mouse to move up and down. The reason is the menu on the left disappears half way down the netbook screen. I also use Docky and if I use the monitor below it it hovers over Docky 100% of the time.

IS this possible with Ubuntu 11.10?

You should be able to enter your desktop/graphical settings and drag your secondary display above the primary display. Also, what are the current settings in your system BIOS regarding a second monitor?

The problem with the 'display settings' is the cpu (my netbook) is above the 2nd monitor (22"). I set the display for the cpu above the 2nd monitor (just like it looks in front of me). When changing the display the cpu has to be moved a little higher, and the secondary below for it to fit.

Problem: the menu bar (Ubuntu 11.10) is halfway down/scrunched up/unable to view the bottom half. And I have Docky (a menu at the bottom), which the pointer hovers over 100% when on the 2nd monitor.

I could remove Docky, the issue is the menu bar... its an 11.10 thing...

If its not possible with Unity then its not possible. Thought I would ask cos I couldn't figure it out. And I will check back when I boot into BIOS for my display settings. Currently the monitor works fine "left/right". I don't really want to mess with BIOS until I'm done working because there have been a few times I actually made things worse when trying to tinker with this OS.

Thanks
