Question Making wireless work

Hi all!

I have a little problems which can be divided into two questions:

1) How do I make wireless work under Ubuntu? can some one help me doing this? I have tried looking a bit on the net but I didn't figure out how to resolve my problem.

2) It is good to precise that on my laptop, before, when I was using Windows XP, to connect to a wireless network I had just to click on a button on my keyboard. Does this influence in any case the procedure of making my wireless work?

The card I am using is : Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Controller

Further Informations:

My network works like this:

Internet <-> Ethernet Router <-> Switch <-> Wifi Spot
(Some PCs are connected to the switch)

It would be great if someone could help me. Thanks allot!

See you all

Broadcom hasn't released Linux drivers for their wireless chipsets, or the specs to make open source drivers for them. You need to look into ndiswrapper, which will let you use a Windows wireless driver in Linux.
