Universal USB Installer

If you have access to windows then you can use the Universal USB Installer from http://www.pendrivelinux.com and source code is available at http://www.pendrivelinux.com/downloa...SB-Installers/. It is a very nice tool and i installed Ubuntu 9.10 in my HP 8 GB usb flash drive using it. It have complete list of OS it supports and the persistancy is also available

If you mean "Can I remaster my Ubuntu install into a LiveCD/USB"

Then use Remastersys Backup
