MacOS menu problems in Kubuntu
Hi,
I'm having problems using the MacOS-style menu that sits on the top of the screen. What I would like to do is put the menu in my main panel and put it on the top of the screen, so I just have one panel and the menu is in it. In KDE 3.3, I was able to add a menu applet to the kicker, and that did the trick. However, there is no menu applet available in the "Add to panel > Applet" menu when I right-click on the panel.
I can start an extra panel with the menu in it on the top of the screen if I enable the "MacOS-style" menu from "Configure Desktop," but then I am stuck with two panels. I cannot get rid of this new panel unless I remove the Mac menu from "Configure Desktop." Plus, if I delete any of the applets that I have added to the new top panel, the menu gets shifted all the way to the right of the panel, and I have to remove everything from the panel and restart it in order to get it back to the left side. I suppose that this is due to the lack of a menu applet that I can drag around on the panel.
I have tried downloading Baghira and using the Baghira menu, but only the window-list button appears, and the menu is not attached.
I suspect that there IS a menu applet that is being run, but that I cannot manipulate it like a regular applet. Does anyone know anything about this problem? Thank you so much for your help.
