LVM2 + ubuntu 8.04 [SOLVED]


Hello there,

i've just installed Ubuntu 8.04 on my pc and i do have a LVM2 partition on mandriva 2009.0 how can i recover the partition? the partition on mandriva was a "merge" of two HDD of 500GB each.

Have you installed LVM2 (on Ubuntu) ?.

ye, sir! i did install LVM2 on ubuntu but i never did configure by myself, i used Mandriva wizard to do that.

Then you should have all the tools you need. I don't use LVM, but if you were to search LQ for pvscan and vgchange I'm sure you'll find what you need.

oh i've solved the problem after several reboots i manage to make lvm2 package installation without problems (space problem on the / partition) i got my LVM group online.
