LVM doesn't recognize VolGroup00 at boot time Ubuntu 64 bits
Hi!
I have Fedora Core 3 on a SATA Hard Drive, and I recently tryed Ubuntu Live CD which automatically detected my VolGroup00 and LogVols of the FC3 system. I liked the Ubuntu way, so I decided to install it on my other HD and begin migriting stuff from one HD to the other... So... I installed Ubuntu AMD 64 and it doesn't recognize my FC3 VolGroup at boot time, so I can't mount it with fstab at boot time either, every time I boot I have to "vgscan" "vgchange -ay", I even tryed putting those lines on the /etc/init.d/lvm script but that didn't worked either, the vgscan don't find anything... so... What should I do?? I don't want to put it on rc.local or something like that, I want to be able to automatically configure the VolGroup at a mounting point with fstab. Why the Live CD get it and the Installation doesn't?? Thanks for any help... :study: :Pengy:  |
Maybe I ask the wrong question :S!!
