I have just installed Lubuntu 16.04, when I tried installing the drivers for my Brother printer using this site, which I have used many times in the past. I now get this message in the terminal. "CUPS is not installed" https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/15
My question, how do I install CUPS? apparently it is not included with
the installation software?
This never happened with 15.10 or any other ubuntu based distro I have used.

I have solved this problem by erasing Lubuntu 16.04 and installing ubuntu 16.04, I immediately installed my drivers using the instructions in the link above and it worked
flawlessly, as I have come to expect it too.
Normally I prefer Lubuntu for it's quick startup and operating speed, but the graphics are clearer and sharper with ubuntu and it's not much slower than lubuntu. So far I am liking ubuntu 16.04.

Thanks, I will try this if I ever reinstall Lubuntu, which may not happen. Some people don't like
CUPS preinstalled, so Lubuntu 16.04 might be a good choice for them.
Update, the ""sudo apt install cups" would have worked" advice, doesn't work.
Brings up this message
Package cups is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
