lost /bin directory!!!how to recover it


unfortunatly and unnecessarily i used rm -rf * in / folder i lost /bin folder.
when i run ls iam getting../bin/ls:no such file or directory ..can any body please help me how to recover those files without reinstalling ubuntu once again....

Use your backups.
Now you know why you shouldn't run as root.

Suggest : Run the live Ubuntu cd, you used to install the OS.

And simply 'sudo cp -a /bin/ <destination-partition>/'

( The /bin/ files : about 4 MB, should be completed in no time.)
