Looking for specific wallpaper
I had installed Kubuntu Dapper on both of my computers, and was using a wallpaper I realy, really liked. I think I got it from teh regular desktop confirguration tool, using the "get new wallpapers" function which comes from the KDE-Look.org site.
Unfortunately, the one I'm looking for seems to no longer be ther, and I don't recall the name. I thought I saved a copy, but am not finding it.
The wallpaper is a closeup shot of a fir branch with water droplets on the needles.
If anybody recognizes it from that description, would you please provide a pointer if it's still available?
Thanks!

If that is all the information you have, I'd suggest checking kde-look.org and setting the list to the same settings as in KDE - ie. by time or popularity or whatever.

Xavier...yup...that's all I have, and KDE-Look with popularity, newest, etc. is what comes up in "get new wallpaper wallpapers, and it's not there.
Thanks!

Found
FWIW...I found I DO have one copy left as the wallpaper on my Kubuntu installation at work. I was able to get the name of the image from there - it is "After Rain I--0".
After searching KDE-Look.org, I chased the link and found that the current license is proprietary - and that answers the question as to why it is no longer available in the current Kubuntu Dapper installation. It will be taken off my work installation in the next few days, so will not infringe on the license.
Guess I'll have to recreate it with my own camera! I was about to resort to that anyhow.
FYI...this thread is closed.

This might be easier....
On the PC where you have the wallpaper, set it as you current wallpaper
Remove/hide all the desktop icons.
Hide all your taskbars.
Do a screenshot
Email the pic to yourself.

IGF...yeah, easier, and if I set my resolution for 1200x1600 (native res of the image), the screenie would be full res. But photography is my other hobby, and I'd enjoly doing it myself. I've got several fir trees of my own and would actually like to give it a try.
Besides, if hte wallpaper I like is proprietary, I'd just as soon not use it.
Thanks!

OK, when you said "break out the camera", for some reason I was picturing you taking a picture of your monitor(it was late, sorry.. ). If you're gonna try your own "nature shot", then by all means, give it a whirl.
