Unhappy Live CD hang on "start udev"

I had tried Ubuntu 6 32 and 64 bits Live CD and Fedora Core 7 32 and 64 bits Live CD on my laptop but both hang at "start udev" when i boot the Live CD.
Then later I tried using Fedora Core 7 installation DVD but when it enter the screen, the "Welcome Fedora 7" screen didn't appear and hang at there..
Can some1 help me? I have a Linux System Administration subject this semester... How I pass the subject without linux installed in my laptop???
My laptop is running Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 @ 1.83Ghz,
with i945GM chipset,
512MB DDR2 667Mhz RAM,
80GB SATA Harddisk.
Twinhead H12M model.
