Linksys Gigabit NIC Problem Under Hoary

I can't get my Linksys Gigabit NIC to work under Ubuntu 5.04 even though Linux sees it under the Device Manager and provides all sorts of information on the card.

If I swap in my old 3Com card, I can access the Web no problem.

Any suggestions?

I have heard of some problems with the Gigabit NICS but I would have to ask, Do you need that much through-put?. If your 3com is working then use that. I would say, yes, if you have that much need for it at this point in time then try to get it working. Otherwise, just return it...

Thanks for the feedback.

Certainly regarding accessing the Internet, the 3Com is more than adequate however, the higher throughput is really nice for transfering files between my computers.
