Ubuntu 12.04 – Basic Unity Interface / Desktop Tutorial

After posting, I continued to explore the Complete, Concrete, Concise website and ran across this tutorial: Ubuntu 12.10 – How to Disable / Turn Off Amazon Ads in the Dash. The appearance of the ads was a surprise following the recent upgrade to 12.10, now I know how to turn them off.

Very nice tutorial with screenshots. If you know of other exceptional Ubuntu tutorials; add the links.

Wow, that is horrible. I block ads in my web browser for security reasons. I certainly don't want them in my desktop environment! Good god, whom ever came up with that solution is mad. Hopefully they'll keep stuff like that out of the LTS versions of Ubuntu (I use KDE luckily in Kubuntu).
