LaserJet 4050 with new Network Card - will print incorrectly

I have a laserjet 4050 printer. My parallel to usb cable died and it wouldnt work on serial to usb so I found a free nework card. I installed it and discovered that on DHCP, even though it would take an address, it would not print.

Today by total accident I discovered how to get it to take a static ip.

The printer is pluged into my linksys router running ddwrt.

Im on Ubuntu 8.04.

Right now the printer is off because every 30 to 90 seconds is prints this out on a page:

Code:
POST /printers/PAL5U006 HTTP/1.1
Content-Length: 303
Content-Type: application/ipp
Host: 192.168.1.80
User-Agnet: CUPS/1.3.7
Expect: 100-continue
It prints another line but its like three lines printed on top of another. The last readable bit is : ... -usEprinter-uri)ipp:

I set up the printer with this:
ipp://192.168.1.80:9100/printers/PAL5U006
