Kubuntu - KDE menu
Hello,
This may seem like a newbie question, but how do you edit the "K" menu so that "recently used" or "most used applications" is displayed.
The menu editor doesn't work for this, but i find this feature very useful in slackware...

If you mean to turn it on then goto Start Menu > Control Center. Then Desktop > Panels > Menus. Now check the one in Quick Start Menu section.

ok thanks that worked.
also though, in slackware i can move files on the desktop into folders on the desktop by moving them over the top of it. this doesnt work on kubuntu. Any ideas how to change this? I.e to get drag and drop working.

Drag-and-drop works for me. What happens? The folder just disappears? Or do you get a circle with a slash in it (do not enter sign) when you try to drag it?

This (it's an image) is what happens in my Kubuntu, and I've used Kubuntu in Hoary, Breezy, and Dapper.
Does the same behavior happen if you log in as another user?
