Kubuntu 8.04 two desktops remain with restricted drivers from nVidia

Hi,

I dropped this question in the hardware forum but it did not get a reply.
A week ago I installed and activitated the so-called restricted drivers from nVidia.
Ever since the number of virtual desktops is limited to a stingy two desktops.
Before using those drivers I had eight desktops, but now it appears to be impossible to configure more than two.
There must be a reason, but I don't yet know which reason it is.
Who does know it may let me know it too.

I had that problem when I first installed 8.04 (back in April), and it was semi annoying, but at some point, I done an update, and it all started working normally.

Sorry I can't say what caused/fixed it.

Earlier I received an update regarding Kde stuff, a total of 31 packages were updated.
One visible result: the titlebar from Firefox is visible again.
It was invisible and could be made visible by twice hitting F11. More improvements are always welcome :-D
