Kubuntu 7.04 and Novatel Ovation U720 Modem
 

I just ordered Kubuntu 7.04 from LinuxCD.org and have a Novatel Ovation U720 USB modem. I know that Kubuntu 7.04 is based on the 2.6.20 kernel and this kernel supports the Novatel Ovation U720 modem.

What exactly does this mean? Will I need to write scripts in an editor or will it be nearly plug & play?

I had a heck of a time trying to get this modem to work with Kubuntu 6.10 and never quite got it to work. So I am upgrading to Kubuntu 7.04 in hopes that it will be easier to get this modem operating.

Anyone else tried (K)Ubuntu 7.04 with this modem?
