Post Kubuntu 5.10 (KDE question mainly - DCOP bug?)

While working with 5.04, there was a bug that would fail DCOP and basically render the system near useless (couldn't open/save any programs)
Fix was (at least what worked for me)
rm -rf /tmp/kde-$USER
rm -rf /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER
rm -f ~/.DCOP*
killall kicker

Restart kicker via Alt-F2 run dialog.
---------------
Mind you, I have NO CLUE what that does, just found that fix on a forum.

The question is, has anyone seen this bug in 5.10 (or on 5.04 with updated KDE)? I use mandriva now, but really liked kubuntu and wanted to give it another shot, this bug was the only thing that stopped me.
