Kubuntu 18.04: timezone setup

Hello!

The time in my Bios is set to local time.

During setup, I have choosen timezone Europe/Berlin.

Actually, two other OS (Opensuse 15.0 and Windows 10) are installed and respecting the settings in the Bios without changing the time.

How can I set the timezone manually?

Quote:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

Actually I need GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

I have set the clock to GMT and now the clock runs with localtime.

It appears date/time settings use UTC reference for the BIOS clock instead of local. Don't have a system that runs KDE but assume there is a setting in the date/time setup that configures the BIOS clock as either UTC or local. The terminal command to set the BIOS clock to local is:

timedatectl set-local-rtc 1

I used dpkg-reconfigure tzdata.

Thanks for the support.
