Kernel Panic - not syncing: No init found
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 on a virtual machine and I'm trying to make Linux From Scratch (LFS) boot from a 2nd partition inside the VM. I've mounted the necessary stuff, I edited my grub.cfg file, but when I try to boot it, I get the following error:
"Kernel Panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel." In my /var/log/dmesg file, I noticed it says the following towards the end of the file [ 17.887270] snd_ens1371 0000:02:02.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 [ 18.939653] init: failsafe main process (770) killed by TERM signal [ 19.340220] init: udev-fallback-graphics main process (828) terminated with status 1 Any help would be appreciated since I can't really figure out what's wrong, and I haven't got too much experience with Linux. |
