KDevelop3.4 release.
I see where Kdevelop3.4 has been released, but I don't find it in synaptic or adept. It is a very importent up grade as it is supposed to decode string constants as the Qt3 version did. I looked at downloading it from KDevelop, but I'd feel a great deal better with a debian version. Any Ideas?.

Are you sure KDevelop later than 3.3.x has been released?
Also, Linux distros usually don't update themselves with minor (x.X.x) releases. Before releasing a dristribution, they're bug-checking all applications being included, and then freezing a release. Until the next release, only patches (x.x.X) get into the repositories; you'd need to install other versions manually if there was an urgent need.
Nevertheless, I think KDevelop hasn't reached a stable 3.4 version yet; so there might be some misunderstanding.
Thanks

Your are right, it is a beta version,1 am particularly interested is this as I use a string system for program control, and it is nice to look at the control string when somthing goes wrong.

You'd have to compile the sources, as described on their website...

Had no problem installing kdevelop 3.4.0 after installing kbuntu 7.10, but haven't been able to inspect string variables. I have been told you can with 3.4.0?
Has anybody been able to do it?
