KDE under Ubuntu: Every K app "crashes"
With every KDE application I use (and that is a BUNCH when logging into a KDE session), I get the KDE crash handler dialog.
I believe that what is actually happening is that it is appearing every time I close a KDE app whether it crashed or not. So I am closing a whole bunch of KDE crash handler dialogs. Anyone have an idea how to fix this? |
are you using regular ubuntu with KDE installed or kubuntu?
|
I'm using regular Ubuntu 4.10 with KDE installed via Synaptic.

Go download Kubuntu, it is built around KDE so you should have very lil if any problems. I prefer gnome otherwise I would use it. I tried it for a week, KDE is just too much for me. It just comes with too much stuff I would never use. But try Kubuntu, it worked fine for me.
You can find it through distrowatch. |
my link above was straight to the official kubuntu download page ;)
|
but i installed kde it ubuntu and it works perfect , thats strange
have you checked your system logs ? |
you better first upgrade to hoary
then build your kde wm.(I mean download) I have 3.4 since beta without any prob. with hoary |
