kde install problem in ubuntu
I was using Ubuntu up now and it was working fine. I had installed azureus with static ip that worked fine.
Then (since I like a lot KDE) I considered installing KDE. The installation worked fine but then (I have selected KDE as default desktop manager) I cannot enter in KDE.
I think it is trying to enter (since I can see a different wallpaper -blue one- for a while and then appears the usual ubuntu -orange one with the bird-. I have noticed also that my static doesn't work -I now use DHCP configuration-. I am not sure it has anything to do with KDE I am mentioning it.
Another problem is that when I want to shutdown the pc I cannot from the menu since the buttons appearing are:
-----------------------------------------------------
| Log out Lock screen Switch users |
| hibernate |
----------------------------------------------------- I don't know where are the other options.
Finally when I log out from ubuntu I find the KDE log in screen! I guess I am using some hybrid desktop manager. Also -and this problem appeared also in log in of gnome- I am seeing the log in screen like it is zoomed in. I cannot access this way the button to control graphically which desktop manager to use each time.
If someone has any idea what's going on I will be grateful.
