Kaffeine recognizes DVB cards, scans channels, but DVB icon remains dim.
It was working in my previous installation of Breezy, but not in this one. I don't remember what I did. All I remember is that I compiled it from source. Other programs work,(Klear) but don't offer the possibility of using a channel list that is for two cards like Kaffeine does. (DVB-T an DVB-S) Both cards are zappable with tzap and szap and get FE_HAS_LOCK when tuning to a channel in their channels.conf

Hello Ekkume,
I think I have the same trouble as you, but it is my first install of DVB T card on ubuntu breezy. Kaffeine detects my cinergy tē, then I could scan the channels and found them but after in the DVB tab I could not access to anyone. In the Go tab also, the DVB icon is greyed. Just want to know if you found a solution? Thanks in advance for your help, |
It's ok I just solved the problem by selecting kaffeine in settings=>player engine
Then the icon passed clear and ready for display. Hope this will work for you too. |
Thanks! That worked. I couldn't remember what I did that started it working, but it was that.

Hello Ekkume,
Just an other question, I would like to know if you use the remote control provided with the card. I saw that the remote control was already working, for exemple, I could make variation of the sound volume. But excepted a few stuff like this I am not able to swith in full screen mode or changing channel. I tried to use LiRC but I did not have many information about the type of driver to use when I do the configuration. I you have done it I would appreciate some help. Tetao |
